WHAT TYPES OF ITEMS DO WE TAKE ON CONSIGNMENT?
We take new or gently used designer women’s clothing, handbags, shoes, jewelry, and small accessories.
*we do NOT take swimwear, suits, menswear, children’s clothing, wedding dresses, undergarments or sleepwear.

WHEN DO WE ACCEPT ITEMS ON CONSIGNMENT?
dress accepts items via scheduled appointment Monday through Friday, seasonally throughout the year.


HOW CAN I SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT?

WHAT ARE YOUR CONSIGNMENT RATES?
Consignors receive a generous percentage of the selling price once the item has sold. The percentage the consingor receives increases with certain designer clothing and handbags. Inquire for details.

WHEN AND HOW DO I GET PAID?
Consignors have two options for receiving credit when any of their items have sold: receiving a check or using store credit.
*for out of town consignors, we mail checks

HOW DO WE DETERMINE PRICING?
In order for both customers and consignors to get the most out of our boutique, we have a brand-specific pricing guide we reference when tagging items. Pricing also reflects if items are “new with tags”, designer demand, styles, and overall condition.

HOW DO WE KNOW IF AN ITEM IS AUTHENTIC?
Every item we sell has been authenticated and carefully examined by our trained authenticators. We guarantee the authenticity of your dress purchased items or your money back.

HOW LONG ARE MY ITEMS ON CONSIGNMENT?
Items are on the floor for 100 days (some items will be extended past the 100 day period with the knowlege of the consignor).


I LIVE OUT OF TOWN, CAN I STILL CONSIGN AT DRESS?
YES! dress has many out-of-town consignors and customers- creating a wide audience, beneficial to consignors to help move their merchandise.


Out-of-town consignors can ship items to dress (please notify the store if you choose this option), or you can schedule an appointment to bring in items next time you come through Raleigh.

WHAT IF ANY OF MY ITEMS DON'T SELL?
At the end of the 100 day period, unsold items may be picked up by the consignor or donated.

DO YOU ACCEPT VINTAGE ITEMS?
dress is a women’s contemporary designer resale boutique. In order to keep our store current and up-to-date with trends, we do not accept merchandise over 3 years old.

*few exclusions apply (Chanel items, Louis Vuitton handbags, other designer handbags, Hermes, luxury jewelry, etc.)
